Metaswitch Networks' Thrutu in-call content sharing application was selected best new idea most likely to succeed as part of informal polling conducted during the Innovation Showcase at the CableLabs Summer Conference in Keystone, CO, on Monday.

Metaswitch's Thrutu is an in-call content sharing application for PCs, smartphones and tablet computers, designed to work across business, residential and mobile customers.

Ten companies participated in the showcase session, which provides each company with 10 minutes to present and demonstrate its technology solution for cable. Other Showcase participants were ARRIS, Clearleap, CTERA Networks, Dyyno, FourthWall Media, Ignite Solutions, Manilla, Tely Labs and ViVu.
