Evolution Digital announced in partnership with Avail-TVN and Conax (part of the Telenor Group) the launch of a turnkey content and conditional access (CA) Hosted Solution for U.S. cable operators. The solution is intended to allow cable operators to deploy Evolution DTAs with Conax content security and deliver a full lineup of MPEG-4 encoded live programming, provided by Avail-TVN, without the need for local content security systems in every headend. Conax content security, set-top control, SI and CableCARD support will be hosted at Avail-TVN's Super Headend in Burbank, CA.The solution is designed to enable operators to deploy Avail-TVN's linear SD and HD programming securely and fully encrypted at an affordable price. Evolution and Conax have dedicated engineering staff to manage all Hosted Solution launches and on-going support. Cobridge and Zito Media are the first operators to sign up for the hosted solution.
