Adobe Systems announced the Adobe Pass service, an online authentication solution intended to enable pay TV subscribers to easily access premium content from virtually any Internet-connected device. Leveraging Flash and HTML5, it's designed to allow pay TV providers and content owners alike to securely deliver content on Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS, Blackberry and Google TV.

Adobe says the solution is deployed and available today. Companies already working with it include Turner Broadcasting System, MTV Networks, Comcast and Synacor (on behalf of DISH Network and others).
