Out with the Old, In with the New

The turn of the year is traditionally a time for change - "New year, new me," and all that. But contrary to popular belief, change is neither good nor bad; change just is. Thus, we're not interested in change per se; rather, we're interested in improvement.

That being so, we've made some significant improvements to both our e-letters and our deployment schedule, both of which we're unveiling this week.

The new e-letter design features a cleaner look for faster loading and quicker navigation. It's also optimized for a mix of content types, including features, blogs, news (both industry and product), and promotions for special projects - webcasts, Special Reports, videos and so on. The new template also streamlines our internal processes considerably - it's faster to produce and lets us consolidate three different templates into just one. The new design replaces our old BTR-V, Wednesday BTR Network and Friday Wrap templates.

Speaking of deployment days, we're shifting away from Wednesdays and Fridays for our weekly e-letters in favor of Tuesdays and Thursdays. The idea is to accelerate the news cycle to get the news to you when you're most likely to need it, and also to coincide with when most of the news actually happens.

On the bi-weekly front, our LATAM Report (whose template is not changing) is moving from Thursdays to Wednesdays. It'll deploy on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. BTR-V, our video-focused e-letter, will continue to deploy on the first and third Mondays of the month, barring holidays and the like.

You can improve - not just change - your lot in life by signing up for any or all of our e-letters at http://www.broadbandtechreport.com/subscribe.html. Tell all your friends. Heck, tell your mom. Even moms like to geek out a little every now and then.
