MetroCast Communications has deployed residential fiber-to-the-home technology in Starkville and Oxford, Miss. and has activated its first customers. Specifically, the technology is operational at the Cottages at Creekside, and the Preserve at Oxford Commons. Earlier this year, MetroCast launched an FTTH network in Carthage, Miss., and also has announced deployments in its Maryland and Virginia service areas.
