CenturyLink (NYSE:CTL) says it now offers symmetrical broadband speeds up to 1 Gbps to residential customers in certain locations in 10 cities and to business customers in six more via its fiber network. The telco also says it plans to expand the fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) services to more areas within the next 12 months.

CenturyLink residential gigabit service is now available in certain areas of Columbia, MO; Denver; Jefferson City, MO; Las Vegas; Minneapolis-St. Paul; Omaha; Orlando, FL; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City; and Seattle. The service is available to business customers in certain locations in Albuquerque, NM; Colorado Springs, CO; Phoenix; Sioux Falls, SD; Spokane, WA; and Tucson, AZ.
