Cox Communications is launching its G1GABLAST residential gigabit Internet service in Tucson, AZ, starting at The Place @ Presidio Trails.

The 1 Gbps service, which is rolling out in new residential developments in the Tucson area, will cost $99.99 per month when bundled with other Cox services. The service also includes a high-speed WiFi router, 1 TB of cloud storage, Cox Security Suite and Family Protection, and 10 email boxes each with 15 GB of storage.

G1GABLAST, which is based on RFoG, was first introduced in Phoenix in 2014 and is currently available in parts of 10 states. The company plans to have gigabit speeds available in all of its markets by the end of the year.
