Rural North Dakota-based triple-play telecommunications provider MLGC has implemented Inca Networks' IP video suite to upgrade its analog cable system to digital and position itself to offer multiscreen services in the future. MLGC, a cable TV operator and incumbent telco, has deployed Inca's ASI-to-IP convertors, 8-VSB over-the-air receivers, satellite MPTS demuxers and IP transcoder products.

The operator used stimulus funding to deploy a 10 Gbps fiber network in its rural service areas, connecting all the towns it serves. The Inca solution enabled MLGC to provide digital TV and music offerings to its full service area, while expanding from 36 to 150 channels.
