Cable ONE (NYSE:CABO) is upgrading its Prescott, AZ, system, investing more than $11 million in technology, equipment, and infrastructure upgrades for its Internet, video and phone services. The Prescott upgrade began in May 2013 and is scheduled for completion this fall.

This upgrade includes tripling the capacity of the company's high-speed data equipment, adding additional circuit capacity to its fiber backbone, installing 85 miles of additional fiber-optic cable, and the installation of three new CMTSs and 210 fiber nodes. Cable ONE also plans to expand business services in new service areas.

The company plans to convert to all-digital video service starting in September. When the conversion is completed in December, Cable ONE plans to launch more than 40 new channels, primarily HD.

Cable ONE plans to increase the up- and downstream speeds on its Premier and Ultra Internet plans as a free upgrade to new and existing Internet customers in Prescott this fall. Customers on Cable ONE's Premier 60 Mbps plan will be automatically upgraded to 75 Mbps downstream and 5 Mbps upstream, and customers on the Ultra 70 Mbps plan will be automatically upgraded to 100 Mbps downstream and 10 Mbps upstream.
