Siklu and Las Vegas-based Broavada Communications announced a partnership to accelerate the deployment of millimeter wave gigabit wireless networks. The two companies plan to seek out and select communities and multifamily properties that might benefit from Hybrid Fiber Wireless (HFW) 1 Gbps broadband networks.
"We will determine how these facilities might best be managed, connected, and designed to serve residential and commercial customers in the target communities," said Tom Reiman, president of Broavada Communications and founder of The Broadband Group.
Siklu offers millimeter wave based, multi-gigabit radio solutions designed for a range of Ethernet deployment scenarios. The products are intended for communities and multifamily properties that want gigabit Internet connectivity, but do not have the economies of scale to rebuild pure fiber networks.
