Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) announced that Madison Apartment Group, a national apartment property management company, has chosen Xfinity's Advanced Communities Network (ACN) to serve 25 of its properties. More than 6,000 residents in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Memphis, Lenexa, Harrisburg and other towns across the United States will be getting Comcast Internet, WiFi, digital phone service and X1 video.

As part of the agreement, many of the group properties have committed to 10-year deals with Comcast. In addition to the full suite of Xfinity services, Comcast also provides Xfinity Communities residents and staff with a single point of contact for customer service and account management to help coordinate installations, troubleshoot disruptions, process service changes and assist with move-in, move-out and property transfers.

Headquartered in Philadelphia, Madison Apartment Group has properties comprising nearly 16,000 apartment units in 13 states, mainly in the East Coast and Midwest.

In other Comcast news, Comcast Business announced a network expansion to the Redmond-Woodinville business district in Washington state, making its Ethernet business services available to nearly 100 businesses in the area. Construction began in July and is expected to be completed later this year.

The $100,000 fiber and coax buildout is designed to support up to 10 Gbps Ethernet services in addition to existing Comcast business services including WiFi, TV and voice. Available Ethernet services include Ethernet Dedicated Internet, Ethernet Network Service, Ethernet Private Line and Ethernet Virtual Private Line.
