VeEX announced the general availability of V-Scope, a fiber connection inspection utility for use with VeEX test sets, smartphone or tablet devices. The V-Scope system provides analysis of fiber connector end-faces using auto focus image capture technology.

The system comprises the VeEX DI-1000 Digital FiberScope, a field portable WiFi unit and a software application installed on the target viewing device. V-Scope is optimized for Fiberizer Mobile, an app available for iPhone, iPad as well as Android mobile devices. End-face images captured in jpeg format can be saved, recalled, compared and uploaded via email, text or directly to Fiberizer cloud for additional processing. Technicians using VeEX testers can connect directly using USB or WiFi connections and have access to the same feature set. V-Scope capabilities include auto image centering, automated pass/fail analysis per the IEC 61300-3-35 standard and report generation via Fiberizer cloud.
