At the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Denver, Broadpeak will demonstrate its latest products in content delivery networks (CDNs), streaming and analytics for multiscreen video. Technology demonstrations will include the company's nanoCDN and cloud PVR.

Broadpeak's nanoCDN multicast adaptive bitrate (ABR) solution is designed to make live HTTP video delivery to any device scalable by turning millions of broadband gateways, cable modems, WiFi routers, and set-top boxes into active components of an operator's content delivery infrastructure. The product leverages home networks to manage the consumption peaks of live multiscreen services for millions of simultaneous viewers using a few megabits per second from the network.

Several new use cases for nanoCDN will be shown at Expo, including zero latency for live video streaming.

Broadpeak's Cloud PVR is designed to let subscribers launch multiple recordings on various channels simultaneously regardless of available bandwidth or number of tuners on the reception device. It's designed to support start-over, time-shift, and catchup TV, as well as impulsive recording, using a shared copy or private copy model. Recorded content can be processed on the fly to be viewed on any device type.
