The NextSTEP 3-Series fiber modules bring Base-8 capability to the NextSTEP Technology fiber management system. The modules enable the fiber management system to fully support Base-8 fiber network infrastructure, with up to 24 fibers per module for a total of up to 96 fibers in a 1RU space. Module options provide a complete choice of fiber type, core/cladding size, connector type, ferrule material and end-face polish to suit any application/installation environment, says the company.
Judge's Comment: "There is little service providers dislike more than having to rewire hubs and headends. Having a modularized solution for fiber management is something service providers need to give consideration to reduce long-term costs in the facilities."
