Can you ever totally escape it? Probably not. There is no Houdini-style trick to deploying a leakage-free cable plant. You can, however, minimize signal leakage - whether it be a large leak or a series of small ones - by implementing standard practices across your plant for your field force that will keep signal leakage to a minimum. The combination of signal leakage meters, savvy field technicians and smart preemptive policies will help the field ops manager and team better determine both the source and type of leak, and deploy resources to remedy them as well. And while leakage can never be completely eliminated, it can be minimized.
