Belgian Op Picks Cisco for IPv6

Cisco is teaming with Belgian cable operator VOO to prepare the transition to IPv6. Cisco's dual-stack technology will be deployed across the VOO network, allowing the service provider to run IPv4 and IPv6 simultaneously.

The deployment will incorporate the Cisco Carrier-Grade IPv6 Solution (CGv6), including the CRS-3 Carrier Routing System and the Cisco CMTS. Lab testing of the dual-stack solution has already been completed with full deployment expected to begin by November. The solution will also incorporate DOCSIS 3.0 network technology.
