Cisco Highlights CCAP, Multiscreen

At Expo, Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO) showcased "Videoscape for Cable," an open, modular platform designed to enable cable operators to deliver integrated QAM and IP services, including multiscreen video and time shift TV, at scale from a single infrastructure.Cisco demonstrated Videoscape experiences expanded by its recent NDS acquisition, now including NDS' Snowflake experience. Cisco also demonstrated its CCAP strategy, as well as service provider WiFi and core IP technologies.The CCAP demo focused on improved operational efficiency, reduced rack space and power consumption, and the capacity to keep up with the growth of DOCSIS and IP video traffic.
