Thomson to Showcase Video Headend

At Cable-Tec Expo, Thomson Video Networks will be highlighting an MPEG-2/H.264 video headend enabled by the company's ViBE EM series of multi-channel HD/SD encoders, ViBE VS7000 platform for OTT and convergent TV services, and Sapphire MPEG video server.The ViBE EM Series of MPEG-2/MPEG-4 AVC encoders is designed for HD or SD encoding for high-end IPTV operations and other types of content aggregation. The ViBE VS7000 video system is an "anything in, anything out" encoding/transcoding platform intended for Web TV, over-the-top (OTT) services, IPTV, and cable delivery. The Sapphire MPEG Broadcast Server is a "channel-in-a-box" solution with capture, playout, and regionalization capabilities, and operating frame-accurately with MPEG-2 and H.264 compressed content.
