At the CableLabs Winter Conference in Orlando, FL, Casa Systems is running a DOCSIS 3.1 demonstration with upstream speeds of more than 400 Mbps. The live network simulation is running on Casa's C40G US 16x8 CCAP module.

Casa's C40G is a smaller form factor CCAP that includes the same DOCSIS 3.1-enabled upstream, downstream and switching modules as the company's C100G. Both the C100G and C40G are designed to enable service providers to deliver voice, video and high-speed data over one platform.

At the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in October, Casa showcased DOCSIS 3.1 downstream speeds in excess of 4.5 Gbps on its C100G.
