Mediacom Communications has deployed Casa Systems' C100G CCAP to provide gigabit broadband speeds in Mediacom's Columbia and Jefferson City, MO, markets. The deployment is intended to support gigabit Internet speeds and later transition to DOCSIS 3.1.

In September, Mediacom announced that it would offer gigabit broadband to its footprint in Missouri's Boone, Cole, and Callaway counties, including the cities of Columbia, Jefferson City, and Holts Summit. Later in September, the company said it was deploying deploying the Hitron Technologies CDA3-35 cable modem, a DOCSIS 3.0 32x8 channel bonding modem designed for provide up to 1 Gbps Internet speeds.
