NETGEAR (NASDAQ:NTGR) is expanding its portfolio of DOCSIS 3.0-compatible cable products. The new NETGEAR CM600 High Speed Cable Modem, intended for the retail market, is designed for better HD and 4K streaming and gaming. It retails for $129.99.
It features 24x8 channel bonding and is designed for downstream speeds up to 960 Mbps. The CM600 supports IPv6 and is equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port. It also has web-based self-activation capability to allow Comcast Xfinity customers to install it without a service call.
