The MT1000A/MT1100A platform addresses the need for an all-in-one portable test solution that can support both new and legacy technologies and can scale to network capabilities. It consists of complete transport testers for client interfaces, such as Ethernet, SONET/SDH, Fibre Channel and DSn as well as emerging MPLS, PBB-TE, ITU-T G.709 OTN networks. The platform can map Ethernet, Fibre Channel and SDH/SONET client signals onto OTN signals - fronthaul to backhaul. It offers mapped OTN client-signal tests under near-to-live conditions to support faster troubleshooting.
Independent two- or four-port operation provides flexibility when testing network and transport equipment operating from 1.5 Gbps to 100 Gbps. A multi-user remote control feature enables independent test capability and supports file transfer, download of measurement reports and results files, upload and download of configuration files, and remote software upgrade over WiFi, Bluetooth and LAN networks.
