Arkena has integrated the NexGuard Pre-Release digital video watermarking solution in its Cloud4Media content management platform. Cloud4Media is intended for storage, transcoding and secure content delivery, powered by the Harmony media workflow orchestration engine.

The watermarking technology adds imperceptible digital markers to video signals and assets before or after transcoding. The markers, designed to be unique and un-erasable, are intended to enable the tracking of an asset, so that any leaks can be tracked back to their source. The system is designed to process all major file formats, including ProRes and IMF.

NexGuard Pre-Release is based on File Embedder and Manager. The File Embedder adds a video watermark to each copy of the content. The serial numbering process is designed to be automated and scalable, driven by the central Manager server.
