Alpha Technologies has opened a new training center in Suwanee, GA, to provide hands-on training for powering professionals in the cable industry.

The classroom and training room were designed and wired by Alpha technicians with the company's latest cable/broadband powering equipment, including rack-mounted power systems, rectifiers, inverters and battery racks that would be found in a typical headend facility.

Alpha will use the facility for product testing, hands-on training, and for showing customers the equipment in use. The SCTE is also expected to begin using the facility for its Critical Facilities Best Practices training classes later this year.

The training facility is housed inside the 150,000-square-foot Alpha Technologies Suwanee headquarters.
