Broadband Technology Report (BTR) will resume its Tech Breakfast panel series at the 2022 SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Philadelphia. The session, “Progress in 10G Networks,” will take place Thursday, September 22, with doors opening at 7:30 AM. The session will feature a panel of experts discussing the latest in 10G technology and trends. Attendance is free to registered SCTE Cable-Tec Expo attendees; pre-registration is recommended. As the series name suggests, breakfast will be available.

Supported by Premier Sponsors AFL, Calix, and Technetix; Gold Sponsor Qorvo; and Silver Sponsor Sticklers, the hour-long panel will cover the current state of 10G progress from the perspective of technological maturity and deployment strategy. Panelists will discuss the current state of DOCSIS technology evolution, where Distributed Access Architecture roll outs stand, the role fiber and next-generation PON technology might play, and how operator strategy should take these parameters into account. The panelists will include:

  • Jan Ariesen, CTO, Technetix
  • Jeff Brown, director of product and field marketing, Calix
  • Doug Jones, principal architect, CableLabs
  • Josh Simer, market strategy and innovation manager, AFL

Stephen Hardy, editorial director of BTR, will serve as panel moderator. Audience members will be able to ask questions of the panelists to create a lively, interactive, and informative experience.

Pre-register now to be kept up to date on the session as it approaches (and to give us idea how much breakfast we have to order!).
