Comcast Business (NASDAQ:CMCSA) has launched Ethernet Services in the eastern Kansas City, MO, suburban area as well as in Olathe, KS.

"We are excited to bring businesses in our Kansas City service area an entirely new range of product offerings," said Kalyn Hove, vice president of Comcast Business. "Organizations of all sizes now have access to the same cutting-edge, fiber-based technologies that were once limited to only the largest companies. With our advanced network and dedicated local resources, we are committed to serving customers with speed and reliability."

The Ethernet expansion is intended to provide businesses with access to a portfolio of multi-Gigabit Ethernet options. Business services offered include Ethernet Private Line, Ethernet Virtual Private Line, Ethernet Network Service and Ethernet Dedicated Internet.

In addition to its Ethernet services, Comcast Business also now offers larger businesses in the Kansas City suburban area the option to purchase hosted voice applications through session initiation protocol (SIP) trunking, which includes features for improving business continuity and disaster recovery.
