Corning Optical Communications GF-81 F Splice Corning Connector

Sept. 26, 2017

Corning's enhanced GF-81 RF connector offering includes the new GF-81 connector with hardware splice barrels.

The new F splice barrels meet the requirements of SCTE 155, "Indoor F Female to F Female Inline Splice," and provide what the company says is outstanding RF performance to address the extended frequencies of DOCSIS 3.1. The connector is constructed with corrosion resistant nickel plating to promote longer life cycles. The company increased the center conductor retention to greater than 3X the SCTE requirement of 50 g.
