GLDS Takes to the Cloud for the Cable Show

Great Lakes Data Systems plans to demonstrate its cloud-based billing, subscriber management and provisioning system, as well as mobile workforce technologies, at the NCTA Cable Show in Boston.The company's WinCable in the Cloud is a cloud-based version of its billing, subscriber management and provisioning system. It's designed to let operators manage these functions virtually via the Internet, without any hardware or infrastructure investment. It's intended to give operators any-time access to GLDS' WinCable subscriber management and billing system in a browser or ultra-light client. It offers data replication internally and off-site, redundant power, and fiber-optic data connection and hardware components.The company's WinForce tech is a workforce automation solution designed to allow operators to deliver work to the field on any Internet-enabled smartphone or tablet. WinForce tech lets field techs navigate to jobs, manage work and customer account information, refresh boxes and run diagnostics from the field without calls back to dispatch.WinForce tech will also be featured in the Cable Show's The App Pond at Imagine Park.
