SCTE Issues EAS-CAP Recommended Practice

The SCTE has approved SCTE 179 2012, "Recommended Practice Upgrading EAS to CAP Compliance." The document is intended to provide general background information concerning cable operators' adoption of the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) and a generic technical and operational checklist to assist in preparing for the carriage of CAP messages.
