Cox Biz Ups Louisiana Web Speeds with D3

As a result of a $4.8 million upgrade to Cox's fiber-based network in Acadiana, LA, Cox Business has launched two new Internet tiers at 80 and 100 Mbps using DOCSIS 3.0. Acadiana is the first Cox market nationwide to offer the new 80 Mbps and 100 Mbps tiers for small and medium business customers, with additional markets expected to launch this year and in early 2013.In the past four years, Cox Business has invested more than $12 million in commercial fiber infrastructure in Lafayette and the Acadiana area. The MSO has a redundant fiber ring in Lafayette and a regional fiber ring throughout Acadiana, as well as a larger redundant fiber ring that connects Lafayette, Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
