RGB Networks' CloudXtream is a turnkey approach designed to enable the deployment of an end-to-end multiscreen ad insertion or network DVR solution in an operator's own data center or hosted private cloud. CloudXtream combines RGB's transcoding and packaging software solutions with OpenStack, an open source cloud computing platform. RGB has developed an OpenStack framework deployment model designed to enable deployment of up to hundreds of application instances, as well as all CloudXtream Ad Insertion for Multiscreen (AIM) and CloudXtream nDVR software components.

The software defined networking (SDN) approach includes OpenStack environment creation tools as well as Orchestration business and application logic. It's also designed to enable the integration and deployment of third-party applications including DRM, subscriber management and ad servers.
