The NCTA, CableLabs and SCTE have issued their call for papers for the 2015 Spring Technical Forum during INTX: The Internet & Television Expo, formerly known as The Cable Show.

Submitted papers should focus on new science, technology, services, algorithms, and architectures for cable. Topics of particular interest include:

  • Cloud
  • Wireless
  • Security
  • Future of computer science
  • Streaming and OTT services
  • Advanced cable architectures
  • Spectrum allocation and efficiencies
  • Reaching gigabit capacities
  • All IP networks
  • Bandwidth utilization, control and traffic engineering
  • 4K/8K video compression and the impact on bandwidth requirements

Prospective authors should submit a proposal using the online submission tool available at intx.ncta.com/stf2015 no later than Dec. 12. The Forum will take place May 5-7, 2015, in Chicago.
