The SCTE IP Challenge, sponsored by Cisco Systems, will combine fundamental IP knowledge and a "Jeopardy"-style game format to highlight the benefits of IP and IPv6 as critical to the future of service delivery for cable operators. The two-part event will begin with online regional qualifying rounds and will culminate in a live, nine-player "final" on Nov. 17 at Cable-Tec Expo in Atlanta.

Open to all SCTE members, registrations are now being accepted for three qualifying rounds, to be held during the weeks of Sept. 18-23 (SCTE Regions 1-4), Sept. 25-30 (Regions 5-8 and Canada) and Oct. 2-7 (Regions 9-12). The top three contestants in each of the three qualifying rounds will be selected to compete in the live final at Expo.

Registration and other information for the IP Challenge are available at http://www.scte.org/ip challenge. Registration is free.
