Qorvo asserts its QPA3250 is the industry's first hybrid power doubler amplifier module optimized for digital pre-distortion (DPD), with high output up to 76. The QPA3250 works in today's fiber deep modes, so MSOs can add Remote PHY capabilities to the node, flip a switch and turn on DPD or full duplex, without worrying about performance degradation when running the output stage at reduced current. Operators who want to move to DPD or full duplex simply reduce the current of the QPA3250 to lower the power from 18 to 14 W, while maintaining or improving the same output power and MER performance This saves operating and manufacturing costs and creates a path toward a 10-gigabit future.
