Edgeware Cloud Video Deploys in LATAM

TVI (Televisión Internacional), part of Multimedios and Televisa Group, a cable operator in Latin America, has chosen Edgeware's VCP Edge solution - part of Edgeware's Video Consolidation Platform (VCP) - to roll out a network-based catchup TV and cloud DVR service. Multimedios is using VCP Edge to deliver the new services, along with its existing VOD offering, from one unified delivery platform to all devices. Edgeware is showing the solution at INTX in Chicago.

In other Edgeware news, the company says more than 30 operators have deployed its VCP to make cloud DVR services available to more than 10 million subscribers worldwide. Some operators using Edgeware's VCP to support cloud DVR including Belgacom, ComHem, KPN, now TV (PCCW), Televisa, TeliaSonera, Vodafone and Ziggo.
