Kansas-based communications company Twin Valley is joining ADTRAN's (NASDAQ:ADTN) "Enabling Communities, Connecting Lives" campaign. Twin Valley is deploying the ADTRAN fiber-based Gigabit broadband platform in the city of Clay Center, KS, with plans to go live this fall.

Twin Valley, based in Miltonvale, KS, provides high-speed Internet, digital TV, wireless solutions and home security to its more than 6,600 customers over a 2,400-square-mile radius. As an NTCA Smart Rural Community, Twin Valley has worked aggressively to foster economic development, commerce, education and public services use through advanced broadband networks.

ADTRAN's "Enabling Communities, Connecting Lives" program recently reached 200 communities. The program is intended to support economic growth and urban development via deployment of ADTRAN's WiFi and fiber-based 1 Gbps broadband services, along with cloud connectivity solutions. It's focused on reinvigorating downtown business and residential districts, connecting classrooms, and helping attract new companies seeking to relocate out of crowded urban centers.
