The FCC has released the text of its recently adopted and controversial Open Internet Order. The Order, which draws heavily on Title II of the Communications Act of 1934 and Part 706 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996, has been criticized by the service provider community and is widely expected to be challenged in court. It has also drawn Congressional attention, and legislation has already been introduced to combat it.

The order isn't official yet - it still has to be published in the Federal Register, which can take some weeks, followed by a period of public commentary.
