SCTE says it is now accepting attendee registration for SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2023, to be held October 16-19, 2023 in Denver, CO. Among the usual and expected new highlights, the show will mark its 40th anniversary.

Chris Winfrey, president and CEO of Charter Communications, and Tony Staffieri, CEO of Rogers Communications, are co-chairs of the event, while Noel Dempsey, senior vice president of field operations at Charter Communications, is this year’s SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2023 Program Committee chair. The conference portion of the event attracted more than 330 presentation proposals, of which 105 were selected for delivery within 35 sessions. The Fall Technical Forum conference program will feature five super tracks:

  1. Wireline Networks: 10G and Beyond
  2. Operational and Network Transformation
  3. Security, Privacy, and Artificial Intelligence
  4. Construction and Workforce
  5. Residential Networks, Wireless, Mobility, and IoT.

Expo also will feature five additional tracks and summits. The inaugural Innovation Policy Track will spotlight government perspectives on broadband funding, 10G deployment, spectrum policy, energy sustainability, and cyber security. A Strategy Track will include the inaugural CSO Summit, and a Security Track will include the event’s first-ever CISO Summit. An Open RAN Technical Summit also will be part of the programming.

“With the rapid pace of technological advancements in the industry, it’s essential that our technical work-force is prepared,” said Mark Dzuban, president and CEO of SCTE. “The L&D Experience returns with an update on workforce development best practices, including new training tools and micro-learning sessions.”

Meanwhile, the exhibition hall will be home to a pair of theaters: the Innovation Theater and the new Technical Training Theater (T3). Among other programming, T3 will be the site of this year’s Cable-Tec Games on Thursday, October 19. The show floor also will see the addition of three new Specialty Pavilions. The Sustainability & Circularity Pavilion will provide information on the cable industry's environmental goals, the SCTE Energy 20/20 program, and related initiatives and technologies. The Mobility Pavilion will highlight the latest advancements in 5G and converged connectivity. Finally, the Innovation Product Showcase, to be located immediately outside the Innovation Theater, will feature demonstrations and discussions of new products and services.

“For the last four decades, SCTE Cable-Tec Expo has inspired generations of cable industry professionals and created unmatched opportunities for business connections and knowledge exchange,” stated Dzuban. “This year, as we gather to celebrate 40 years of thought leadership, pioneering business in-sights, and technology transformation, Expo will deliver an unparalleled opportunity to engage with industry leaders and decision-makers as we reflect on our industry’s progress and preview the emerging technologies and applications transforming our industry.”
