CableLabs Spins Off Network Security Outfit

CableLabs announced the launch of NetworkFX, the research consortium's first subsidiary. Based on the cable industry's public key infrastructure (PKI), NetworkFX is an online trust management company intended to enable secure broadband connections for networked devices. NetworkFX's capabilities are designed for providing online security for banking, consumer electronics, healthcare, utilities and other industries.
