Diamonds judges proclaimed outage management systems like ARRIS' EventAssure to be a "necessity" to operators focused on customer service.
This multi-service solution aims to reduce truck rolls, increase operational efficiency, and reduce churn by automatically and proactively detecting outages. The module, which works with ARRIS Assurance Solutions, accomplishes this by providing real-time visibility into the service delivery infrastructure, including up-to-the-minute health status on all aspects of the network.When other tools access the CMTS to determine network health, they increase the polling load on the CMTS and the density of devices per CMTS. And in the end, they may not be able to detect service failures. On the other hand, ARRIS says, EventAssure integrates with the company's ServAssure polling infrastructure, which relies on a single data collection source to avoid these problems.In addition, EventAssure collects and stores telemetry information for rules-based detection of service issues. This data is used to correlate anomalies and determine common points of failure. The Executive Dashboard provides a summary list of network problems and detailed outage tracking and diagnosis, giving operators "actionable information" they need to solve problems.
