ATX Aims at MDUs, Hospitality

Sept. 24, 2012
For Cable-Tec Expo, ATX Networks has introduced its ADAC and ADACf (Active Digital Access Control - fiber) products for hospitality, MDU, business and education environments. The ADAC and ADACf are designed to provide a simplified means of delivering customized content to the hospitality or MDU customer. The units accept the content lineup from the headend (RF or fiber feed) and, using an integrated interdiction system, allow operators to select and pass only that content which the customer selected from the lineup (no filters required). The units also accommodate local content insertion. The ADACf platform integrates an optical node, RF distribution amplifier, electronically controlled interdiction system and optional return path laser module. The ADAC (RF only) provides the same capabilities as the ADACf, but without an integrated optical node.
