At the ABTA Show in Sao Paolo, Brazil, Conax announced a contract with Grupo TV Cable in Ecuador. Grupo TV Cable is deploying Conax security for the digital migration of systems in five smaller markets in Ecuador and converting the analog systems to digital. The services being offered initially are SD and HD subscription, pay per view and pre-paid voucher services. The billing system is from Comarch from Poland, edge QAMs from ARRIS, and set-tops from Evolution Digital.
