Pixelmetrix has announced a new addition to its product portfolio, the Pelican family of video encoders. It's intended for remote news gathering, enterprise video, hospitality, government, education and healthcare applications.It features a built-in HTML5 web interface and supports live IP streaming from the built-in Ethernet port.Three models are available: Pelican-Analog, Pelican-SD and Pelican-HD. Supported video standards include 320x180 to 1080p. Both MPEG-2 and H.264 formats are supported as well. Product shipments are expected to begin in July.
