Cable Center Board Adds Three New Members

GessnerThe Cable Center has named three industry executives to its board of directors: Robert Gessner, president of Massillon Cable TV; Kenneth W. Lowe, chairman, president and CEO of Scripps Networks Interactive; and Robert J. Stanzione, chairman and CEO of ARRIS. All will serve three-year terms on the board.Gessner has served as president of Massillon Cable TV, a family-operated broadband service company with systems in Massillon and Wooster, OH, since 2002. He acts as vice chairman of the American Cable Association and is a board member and past president of the Ohio Cable Telecommunications Association. He served for 10 years on the board for the National Cable Television Cooperative, including a term as chairman.Lowe was named chairman of the board, president and CEO at Scripps Networks Interactive in 2008. Lowe serves on the board of directors for the NCTA and the Paley Center for Media. He is a member of the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame and has received the NCTA's Vanguard Award for Programmers.Stanzione has served as chairman and CEO of ARRIS since 2000. He serves on the boards of the NCTA and Symmetricom. Stanzione was awarded the SCTE's Chairman's Award in 2008, the Vanguard Award for Associates & Affiliates in 2009, and was inducted into the Cable TV Pioneers in 2010.
