Harmonic (NASDAQ:HLIT) announced Iris 2.0, the newest version of its video quality monitoring and analytics software suite. It'll be highlighted at the Cable Show in Boston. Featuring an enhanced graphical user interface and integration with several third-party monitoring solutions, it's designed to monitor and analyze Harmonic broadcast encoders in real time.It's designed to deliver video quality monitoring, global channel availability, and source profiling measurements for hundreds of programs, both in real time and historically for up to one year. Working in tandem with the Harmonic NMX Digital Service Manager video network management system, Iris collects data from Harmonic Electra and Ion encoders and presents it as a set of charts, reports, and dashboards.Iris 2.0 features a web-based graphical user interface for real-time monitoring and analytics, as well as post-analytics and reporting. It uses a combination of monitoring dashboards, graphs, analytics reports, and interactive channel/pool reports. It's also designed to handle any codec and format and process and monitor up to 250 services in 1 RU.
