May 31, 2012
Clearfield (NASDAQ:CLFD) announced the FieldSmart Hub Collapse Cabinet (HCC), designed for the cable operator looking to separate passive infrastructure from the electronics without the need for a standard hub architecture. The cabinet can be pole mounted near the hub so that all MAC work is done on the ground. In addition, the electronics remain deployed near the neighborhood where the bandwidth is required. The FieldSmart HCC is intended as a centralized location to house both optical components and fiber terminations. It's 16 x 16 x 32 inches and designed for mounting on a pole, pad, or in a vault. Fiber management is centralized and environmentally protected. Designed to accomodate up to 120 fiber terminations using Clearfield's Clearview Cassette, the HCC is also designed for up to 32 LGX compatible CWDM/DWDM modules.
