The CableLabs board of directors has selected Phil McKinney as the next president and CEO of the laboratory. McKinney replaces Dr. Paul Liao, who has led CableLabs since June 2009. Liao announced in October 2011 that he would not renew his contract, which was set to expire in December.An author, speaker, innovation mentor and columnist, McKinney has served as VP and CTO for Hewlett-Packard’s Personal Systems Group, SVP and CIO at Teligent, and director at CSC.
