BT to Showcase Encoders at InfoComm

May 31, 2012
At InfoComm in June in Las Vegas, Blonder Tongue Laboratories will be featuring its latest MPEG-2 and H.264 encoders. The HDE-2H/2S-QAM is designed to receive up to four HDTV programs from two unencrypted HDMI, two HD-SDI, and four component inputs. The four input programs are then MPEG-2 encoded into four SPTS which will be available as output in QAM (four adjacent channels), IP (GigE/1000BASE-T Ethernet), and ASI simultaneously. The HDE-4S-QAM is similar to the HDE-2H/2S-QAM, but with the two HDMI inputs replaced with two HD-SDI inputs. It's designed to receive up to four HDTV programs from four HD-SDI and four component inputs. MPEG-2 encoding is similar to the HDE-2H/2S-QAM.The HD264-2S-IP is the company's first H.264 encoder. It is designed to receive up to two HDTV programs from two unencrypted HDMI, two HD-SDI, and two component inputs. The two input programs are then H.264 encoded into two SPTS streams for simultaneous output in QAM (two independent channels), IP (GigE/1000baseT Ethernet), and ASI.
