Canadian cable operator Videotron has chosen Cisco's Explorer 8642 HD-DVR set-top box platform to deploy the next generation of its enhanced illico digital TV service in the province of Quebec. Videotron already uses Cisco-powered cable headend infrastructure and DOCSIS network.
