Elemental Live, a GPU-accelerated, enterprise-class video processing system that provides content distributors with video and audio encoding for live streaming, piqued the judges’ interest. Considered a critical hardware element, the system provides “the first step from video source outbound to the customer, regardless of format needed,” said one judge.
The system offers greater density than other transcoding solutions for live events, according to Elemental, with the ability to encode four simultaneous 1080p output streams or up to eight 720p output streams. It executes simultaneous processing and encoding of multiple adaptive bit rate outputs and an intuitive web-based interface simplifies workflow, exposes real-time controls for event management and provides one-click access to popular CDNs such as Akamai, Level 3 and others. "It allows service providers the ability to deliver video in formats required by various players and to stream multiple protocols from a single platform," explained a judge.http://www.elementaltechnologies.comSee them at Cable-Tec EXPO, Spotlight Pavilion: 925
